There was a flower in the middle of
the desert, lone and beautiful.
The flower survived through drought, wind,
hungry creatures, and sand storms.
Time was not on her side, but she shook
off her petals every day and stood
upright in the desert.
One day a man passed in a caravan.
He saw the flower and took it.
When he arrived home, he placed it in
a pot in the middle of the house.
The flower felt love all around her.
Then, when she noticed what care the
man and his family took of her, she
felt loved. In the desert she endured.
Her – she endured with others.
